PERSONALISED CONTENT OF THE MUSEUMS
Depending on your choice, you will be able to wander through the museum, which will comprise different sections, with legends' galleries, your country's clubs, coaches, emblematic Presidents, referees, male and female teams, goalkeepers, football positions, trophies, golden balls and shoes, the development of the balls, jerseys, artworks, etc. The National Football Museums will be based on 5 pillars and located in highly contemporary and hyper-connected sites located near big cities in each of the countries:
- national temple of the history of football in each of the countries
- the country's football culture
- education and teaching aids for school children and football schools
- games and the playful mind through numerous attractions
- networking spaces for companies and associations
HISTORY
You will firstly be able to discover the history of the No. 1 sport, in particular through astonishing technologies such as 3D augmented reality, interactive games, inter-connection with your smartphone, humanoid robots, drones and even holograms. You will learn about the development of football (played by men as well as women) in your country to the present day, as well as the sport's rapid expansion following the defining of the first rules in England in the middle of the 19th century. Of course, a major part of the museum will be dedicated to the representation of the clubs – both professional and amateur – as well as the famous national and international competitions running throughout the year.
CULTURE
The museum will also focus on the cultural and social facets of football: the links between generations, human disasters, popular fervour, etc. It will convey the values which are dear to communities such as health, civic commitment, the environment, fair play, the rules of the game, refereeing, and the football culture. The wider goal of the National Football Museums is to promote sports ethics, which bears close links with education and community life. It will focus on the values which are dear to our sport by highlighting them in exhibitions particularly emphasising fair play, joint effort, respect for the referee and the opponents, the festive spirit, and fraternity. Learning about life through sport had already been illustrated by famous French writer Albert Camus (1913-1960) through this sentence: "The additional knowledge I've gained on human ethics and obligations stems from football". Indeed, sporting activities reveal a deep feeling of fulfilment and progress. Years later, Nelson Mandela was to say "sport has the power to change the world".
A FORMIDABLE TEACHING TOOL
We plan to organise field trips and theme outings for all educational establishments as well as amateur football schools. Young people will thus have the opportunity to focus on social issues and topics of everyday life through comparisons with the teachings stemming from football. For example, educational workshops and resources will be made available to teach young people to do sports presentations, discover the incredible human body and other scientific topics, work on solidarity and community spirit, discover other people and socialisation, contribute to the improvement of general knowledge through sport, show the values and benefits of sport for youth development, including its benefits on health and the ability to assume responsibility, etc. Numerous other events will be offered on an ongoing basis to teachers in primary and secondary schools, as well as all football school coaches. We will also create an extraordinary space that will explain to youths and their parents how to become a professional football player and enable them to understand the environment and constraints faced by the various people involved in such a project (the aptitudes required, the contracts, the proper behaviours, the recruiters, the coaches, the players' agents, and the role of the parents and close circle). As a reference, this outstanding space will use the book written by Matthieu Bideau (coach of FC Nantes) and Laurent Mommeja (founder of the site Espoirs du Football).
FUN ACTIVITIES
With the numerous interactive and multimedia activities available, you will not be spending all of your time reading and standing around. For example, you will be able to:
- • meet your favourite up-and-coming stars in the flesh as they will be invited on a regular basis for weekly events, shows and other unforgettable moments of pleasure
- • play football in a virtual stadium where the crowd of spectators interact with the game
- • test your kick speed with a radar and participate in a national and international competition
- • become the museum's top scorer opposite our robot goalkeeper in national and international challenges
- • live experiences in disabled or blind football
- • and dozens of other games such as dribbling, juggling, billiard football, bubble football, ping-pong football, tennis football, quiz-football, FIFA & PES areas, etc.
- • numerous events and activities will take place throughout the day such as one-man shows, street ball, and humorous entertainment on weekend evenings. The next day, you will be able to take advantage of our tour service, possibly to visit partner sites such as the Stade de France, or the Paris Saint Germain or Clairefontaine sites (advance booking required).
- • the Museums will also be meeting places for researchers, universities, schools, amateur and professional football players, as well as companies or associations looking for distinctive venues for their brainstorming events. They will also offer space for your staff meetings, seminars, retirement parties, and meetings with your clients in a highly original site that will inspire your creativity. Your children will be able to hold their birthdays on the premises with their friends for unforgettable memories.
